Remote Work Program

Sales Engineer

FloStor Engineering is looking for established sales engineers with experience in the material handling industry. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential, as are proficiency in Word and Excel and an ability to navigate drawings in AutoCAD LT. Extensive travel throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area and San Joaquin Valley can be expected, with travel to customer sites throughout the continental United States a possibility. Must be able to understand and communicate with drawings and sketches, working through layout concepts with customers’ facilities engineers, evaluating the efficacy of designs and proposing options for improvement.

Project Manager

Responsible for all aspects of a project cycle, from contract negotiations through final acceptance. Project Manager will be responsible for on time and within budget delivery of projects under his/her supervision. These jobs can contain semi-automated to fully automated storage, order fulfillment and conveyor systems. Read, interpret and implement blue print drawings, purchase and expedite materials, obtain all necessary permits, schedule and supervise field work crews, deal with aspect of Uniform Building Code, and work closely with all departments within the organization to coordinate a smooth project. Be a dependable liaison between FloStor and the customer. Professionally address design or engineering issues and questions that may arise during normal job progression. Be a team player and leader and hold self, vendors and crew accountable for quality work, job safety and total customer satisfaction.

Design Engineer

FloStor Engineering, Inc, a well-established material handling engineering company in the San Francisco Bay Area, is offering a design engineering position. The position requires proficiency in AutoCAD (2013-2019), as well as Microsoft Office products. Responsibilities include defining system requirements, developing material handling layouts (including, but not limited to, conveyors, rack systems and work platforms), interacting with customer representatives and providing engineering support for company sales engineers. A good sense of spatial relationships is essential, as much of the work involves 3D representations using a manufacturer’s proprietary software and can involve point cloud information. Experience with Autodesk Inventor and ReCap products is recommended, as proficiency with them must also be developed.
