TeamMover™
FloStor's TeamMover represents the next generation in people carrier conveyor technology... the first major advancement since its introduction to line-side assembly.
TeamMover systems allow the workers to focus on the task at hand. Workers avoid the awkward motions inherent in walking sideways or backwards while placing a component or performing an assembly task. By reducing exertion and preventing fatigue, TeamMover offers a practical solution for improving ergonomics, productivity, and quality.
The TeamMover low profile conveyor is engineered specifically for line-side automotive assembly operations, allowing the worker to remain stationary relative to the vehicle while performing the task. The conveyor is mounted flush with the surrounding floor and the moving surface is distinguished by bright yellow edges. As the system moves at the same speed as the main line, the worker is not required to keep pace with the vehicle.
Maintenance & Reliability
With a belt life expectancy of five years, maintenance costs and the risk of catastrophic failure are greatly reduced. Scheduled belt adjustment consists of simply removing a row of belt links as directed by the control system. A removable debris tray collects all dropped parts and trash for easier housekeeping and increased belt life. Easy access is provided to all maintenance components.
Performance
The variable speed motors and positive sprocket drives achieve accuracies in speed control not possible with rubber belt systems. This insures the system remains synchronized with the assembly line.
Controls
The control panel provides convenient access for manual operation, system status, and speed control. Maintenance alerts and fault conditions are clearly reported.
Safety & Ergonomics
The custom high traction belt surface provides the highest level of slip protection. The belt and underlying anti-static UHMW bed provide just the right amount of cushioning for comfort and stability. The safety yellow edges make it easy to distinguish the moving belt from the stationary floor and allow the worker to easily gauge belt speed. For added protection, failure to step off the conveyor prior to the discharge end triggers an instant shutdown in both the TeamMover and the main assembly line. Additional safety margin is achieved by providing a narrow gap between the edge of the belt and the frame.
Installation
TeamMover systems are designed for installation on existing lines without trenching. Units are available in a low 5” profile with exterior drive and a 7½” profile with internal drive.
Intralox Belt
TeamMover conveyors use the new Intralox Series 1400 Non-Skid Flat Top belt with diamond plate tread surface designed expressly for
FloStor. Designed for low-profile people carrier applications, the new Series 1400 helps automotive assembly plants increase line flexibility and reduce belt replacement costs.
Traditional rubber belt systems are subject to transverse loading. As operators force the belt toward the sides of the conveyor as a normal consequence of the task at hand, the belt is subject to severe wear and early failure. Trapped nuts, bolts, and other debris cause catastrophic failure during operation. The Series 1400 is a modular plastic chain link design that lasts much longer in people carrier applications than traditional rubber flat belts, which typically require complete replacement after only 6 months.
