Ideas in Motion™

Automate Your Outbound Shipping Operations

The final miles of your fulfillment process—from carton creation to carrier handoff—determine whether orders ship on time and arrive intact. Our outbound packaging and shipping systems automate case erecting, void fill dispensing, print-and-apply labeling, and parcel sortation to accelerate order dispatch while reducing labor and material costs.

We integrate multi-carrier shipping manifesting, automated label application, and intelligent parcel routing to streamline your dock operations. From high-speed case sealers to sophisticated shipping sortation systems, our end-of-line solutions ensure every package leaves your facility properly protected, accurately labeled, and routed to the optimal carrier.

End-of-Line Packaging Challenges That Compound Over Time

End-of-Line Is Your Throughput Bottleneck

When picking and packing outpace your packaging and labeling capacity, orders queue up and carrier cutoffs get missed—even when everything upstream ran smoothly.

Dimensional Weight Charges Are Accumulating

Manually selecting box sizes often means over-packaging. Excess air inside cartons converts directly into dimensional weight surcharges that add up to tens of thousands of dollars annually.

Label Errors Generate Carrier Chargebacks

Manually applied labels misaligned or placed on the wrong face trigger carrier compliance chargebacks and scan failures at sort facilities, delaying delivery and eroding margins.

Inconsistent Pack Quality Increases Damage Claims

Variable manual wrapping and sealing creates inconsistent load stability—leading to transit damage claims, returns, and the labor cost of processing them.

How Automated End-of-Line Packaging Works

An integrated end-of-line system begins the moment a picked order arrives at the pack station. A case erector folds and tapes a carton to the correct size. Void fill equipment dispenses the exact amount of protection material needed—no more, no less. The carton is sealed, then conveyed through a print-and-apply station where the carrier label is printed and precisely placed in a single motion.

As the package continues down the line, an in-motion scale and dimensioner captures certified weight and dimensional data to populate the shipping manifest and validate carrier billing. A downstream sorter then routes the package to the correct dock door or carrier lane. Every step is logged, giving you end-to-end shipment visibility from pack to pickup.

Is End-of-Line Automation Right for Your Operation?

Strong Fit When…

  • End-of-line packaging is your order fulfillment bottleneck
  • You ship 500+ orders per day or are scaling toward that volume
  • Carrier chargebacks from label errors or DIM weight discrepancies are recurring
  • Labor availability and cost are constraints on your throughput capacity
  • You're losing margin to oversized cartons and excess void fill
  • Consistent stretch wrap quality is critical for load stability in transit

Consider Alternatives When…

  • Order volume is below ~200 per day and pack station capacity is sufficient
  • Product mix is highly irregular and requires custom packaging judgment calls
  • You already have efficient semi-automated pack stations with spare capacity
  • Fulfillment is the bottleneck, not end-of-line packaging itself
