Precision Weighing & Quality Verification Systems

Accurate weight and dimension data is critical for shipping compliance, carrier cost optimization, and quality assurance. Our weighing and verification systems—checkweighers, in-line dimensioners, metal detectors, X-ray inspection, and vision systems—ensure every package meets specification before it leaves your facility.

From legal-for-trade certified scales to high-speed DIM weight capture, we implement precision in-line verification that eliminates carrier billing disputes, catches fill errors, and maintains regulatory compliance in food, pharmaceutical, and distribution environments.

The Cost of Inaccurate Verification

Carrier Billing Disputes From Inaccurate DIM Weight

When dimensional weight is estimated or captured manually, carriers bill based on their own measurements—generating costly disputes, chargebacks, and reconciliation labor that compounds with every shipment.

Product Giveaway From Overfill

On fill-by-weight lines, even small overfill tolerances translate to significant product giveaway at high volume. Every gram over target is margin leaving the building undetected.

Quality Escapes Reaching Customers

Without automated in-line inspection, defective or nonconforming products reach customers—triggering returns, damaging brand reputation, and creating liability exposure in regulated industries.

Regulatory Compliance Gaps

Food safety and pharmaceutical regulations require traceable weight and inspection records. Manual verification creates documentation gaps that put regulatory approvals and certifications at risk.

How Inline Weighing & Verification Works

Modern in-line verification systems operate at line speed without interrupting production flow. As each unit or package travels along the conveyor, it passes through a series of inspection stations: a checkweigher captures certified weight data in milliseconds; a dimensioner measures length, width, and height using laser or camera arrays; a metal detector or X-ray system screens for contaminants.

Each station communicates in real time with a central controller. Units outside specification are automatically rejected to a separate lane before they can advance downstream. All measurement data is logged per-unit with a timestamp, giving you the traceability records needed for regulatory compliance and carrier billing validation.

Weighing & Verification System Types

Checkweighers

High-speed in-motion scales that verify product weight against target specifications and automatically reject out-of-tolerance units.

  • Legal-for-trade certification
  • Speeds up to 300+ units/min
  • Automatic reject systems
  • Statistical process control
  • Overfill & underfill detection

In-Line Dimensioners

Camera or laser-based systems that capture certified L×W×H and calculate dimensional weight for every package at line speed.

  • Sub-millimeter accuracy
  • Certified DIM weight data
  • Carrier billing integration
  • Irregular shape handling
  • Combined weigh-dimension units

Metal Detection Systems

Continuous in-line metal detection that identifies ferrous, non-ferrous, and stainless steel contaminants in food, pharmaceutical, and industrial products.

  • Ferrous, non-ferrous, SS detection
  • HACCP & BRC compliance
  • Automatic contaminant rejection
  • Product effect suppression
  • Data logging & reporting

X-Ray Inspection Systems

High-resolution X-ray inspection detects dense foreign objects, missing components, fill levels, and structural defects invisible to metal detectors.

  • Glass, bone, stone detection
  • Fill level verification
  • Missing component detection
  • Sealed package inspection
  • Multi-lane configurations

Vision Inspection Systems

Camera-based systems that verify label presence, readability, date codes, packaging integrity, and correct product identification at production speed.

  • Label verification & OCR
  • Expiry date checking
  • Cap & seal integrity
  • Barcode & QR verification
  • Print quality inspection

Counting & Verification Systems

Optical and weight-based counting systems that verify component counts, kit completeness, and lot integrity before packaging or dispatch.

  • Pharmaceutical tablet counting
  • Component kit verification
  • Weight-based count checking
  • Vision-based counting arrays
  • ERP system integration

Is Inline Weighing & Verification Right for Your Operation?

Strong Fit When…

  • You operate in food, pharma, or any regulated industry with traceability requirements
  • Carrier billing disputes from DIM weight discrepancies are a recurring cost
  • You have fill-by-weight products where overfill tolerance costs real margin
  • Quality escapes have generated customer returns or regulatory findings
  • Manual weight recording creates compliance documentation gaps
  • You need to scale inspection without adding headcount

Consider Alternatives When…

  • Throughput is very low and manual spot-check inspection is sufficient
  • Products have no weight tolerances and dimensional weight is not a cost driver
  • Regulatory requirements don't mandate per-unit inspection records
  • Packaging is highly variable and a fixed conveyor system won't accommodate it
